- Hand out workbooks: include name and contact info, Map of course, Questions
- Work in pairs (or more) talk about your business, yourself and then try to introduce the person in the group to the class. Next: Video of David Kamau (1st video clip)
- Participants to give examples of what they think is cash in (to provide actual examples from their business). Facilitator to introduce the concept of loan and of cash sales (as opposed to credit sales).
- Participants to give examples of what they think is cash out (to provide actual examples from their business)
- Insert excel sheet
- table as in sheet 22 + sales
- right hand side of excel with expenses (personal and business related) then sum up
- 1/4: Introduce time/ dates to cash book. 2/4: Start cash book with money you have on hand in cash or savings… new note: add left hand side of excel table with cash in hand and in bank only as beginning cash
- 3/4: Calculate the difference between Cash In and Cash out. This is called the end-of-day cash balance.
- 4/4: Start your next day with the cash balance of the previous year.
- Explain assignment Before the class ends explain the following 4 concepts to keep cash records.
